The question I have is, are the 4:11 gears out of the '72 3/4 ton Dana 60 axle interchangeable with the Eaton HO52?
They are not. You do need the Eaton to get the gears you want.
People talk about these gears as if you can find them only any street corner. They are not that common any more.
