just for a test you can pull your dizzy, and make a tool out of a big sloted screw driver that you can insert in to your oil pump and preserize your oil system with a drill. pull your valve cover and you can look at you your oil flow to your vavle train and oil gage. thus testing your oil filter for proper flow and volume.if your bypass fails you'll know it.Ive seen modern filter's split at the seams after swicthing from non detergent to detergent oil. thus catastrophic failure can be advioded.I use this when ever I put a new motor together pe oiling is cheap insureance!
