I am not happy with what is being offered at various parts store with regards to lug nuts.

Seems like the nuts should have some sort of flange to spread the load, although none on my truck have a flange. A plain nut just doesnt seem to have the surface area I'd like to see.

I am looking at these flange nuts at McMaster-Carr. They ar 1/2-20 with a nice meaty flange, case hardened with a black oxide finish.
