They did have sliding doors and we left them open when it wasn't freezing. It didn't have a heater. Sometimes the door latch didn't hold and a door would slam shut while braking. I always kept my arms away from the doors. It was very low geared, so top speed was 65 down hill. Many years later it broke a crankshaft.
