HRD, been researching doing the 292 swap on my 53 350 series GMC. I believe you need to changeout the crossmember at the trans to use the bellhousing needed for the 292. I also think that an aftermarket type front engine mount will be the easiest solution. Most of all take plenty of pictures and post them. Good luck
