Edabbs- By turning the plunger upside down inside of the lifter, I made a solid lifter. I was on a tight budget and couldn't aford a set of solids. I drove the truck for about ten years and then gave it to one of my students and he drove it for another 6 or 7 years until the body fell apart. A set of new solids would have been easier but I had no choice. don
