The gear tooth count should be stamped on the end of the pinion shaft. It should look like 6-39 which equals 6.50:1 and would be the "High" gear ratio. If you have a Eaton the low range will be 1.36 times the High range, so in this sample the 6.50 high would have a 8.84 Low.
