Looking for a little advice. I picked up an old Saginaw 4 speed because my original one broke a tooth on the main cluster gear the first day I put the truck on the road. yea bummer. anyhow this 2nd trans went in real easy and shifts beautifully but makes a LOT of whining noise in 1st , 2nd, and 3rd. It's quiet in 4th. The noise stops when you push in the cluthch. The throwout bearing is OK. Any ideas on what causes this?
