Yes, you can use the 261 harmonic balancer as long as its groove width matches the grooves on the alternator/generator pulley and the water pump pulley.
Jim Carter has the older style pump with either 3/8" or 5/8" pulley.
Get an older-style and a newer-style water pump gasket (no matter what the instructions say about the need for gaskets).
