We did such a swap a short while back using the AD-Engineering kit and they were very helpful and accessible. Very professional looking and obviously jig welded. The only tweaking we had to do was to shave 1/8" off one side of the front bed crossmember to align with the factory holes. On a 55 year old truck it could have been the bed itself off that much. It is really quite a simple kit but to duplicate it the customer would have paid that much in shop time. For one doing his own, he may fab one up and save a few bucks but when your paying a shop the pre-made is the way to go. I have pictures of the swap on--http://www.msnusers.com/Evanscars If I weren't such a computer dummy I'd have text with the pics but that will have to wait until a computer hip nephew visits again.
