Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Feb 2005 Posts: 469 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Feb 2005 Posts: 469 | A 3 speed from a 62 will bolt to the bell houseing but you will need to rework the shifter linkage. A open drive shaft truck 4 speed from the 50's will work, you will need a floor pan from a doner truck of the same year. The rear end is to wide but you can use the punken from the 62 in your old houseing loseing the tork tube and making new spring pads for the axle. The drive shaft will have to be redone as the 62 will probably be 2 peace. These swaps have been done many times check the arcives for more info. | | |
