The adapter plate for the old style pump is the best way to go.

I didn't find the "kit" mentioned above on Patrick's website but I'm betting it is a stock '55 and later pump that has been cut off and a 292 Ford pulley. You can do it yourself cheaper. That is what we did in the old days.

But that was before the adapter plate was available. Like I said, that is the best way to go.
