I do not want to further blurr the possibility of the grill being stainless (if it is a custom grill, it could be stainless); however, it should be noted that the magnetic test is not 100% proof. There are magnetic and non-magnetic examples of stainless steel. I have received slightly-magnetic stainless steel from vendors of stainless steel hardware.
