Thanks Denny, as usual you always seem to know all about the obscure electronics stuff. The stuff from Amazon is only .005" thick, The stuff from Professional Plastics is $60 and the tubesandmore is out of stock.
Isn't there a commonly available material that can be used? If it weren't for the way the thing folds and sticks up between the posts I'd just use an insulating washer.
Or maybe I'm just overthinking this. It sucks when you mess with things you don't understand.
