| | | | Joined: Sep 2008 Posts: 84 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Sep 2008 Posts: 84 | What's up fellow Bolters? I have a coworker that's willing to sell me the entire drivetrain off an unrestorable 58 Chevy Nomad.
It has a 283 w/2 speed Powerglide/Turboglide. I was tinkering with the idea of swapping my torque tube with the open driveline of the Nomad into my 51 chevy 1/2 ton.. Has anyone ever attempted this?
I did some research and found out some 235s were matted with Powerglides/Turboglides. The 2 piece driveshaft would have to be swapped for a single of course. I have a full pressure 235 in the 51 now and not planning to use the 283. Any input is appreciated fellas. | | |
