I have a freshly rebuilt 235 and on occasion I get some slight backfiring through the carb that sounds like popcorn popping. Any ideas why? Once the engine is warm and I throttle down, most times it stops, but the last time it backfired loudly and the engine shut down. ALSO, when I have the throttle wide open, my oil pressure is over 20 pounds, but as I back the throttle down to idle, the pressure drops to around 10 pounds. Is this normal? Thanks guys.
