im about to rebuild a rochester 4jet that came on my 66 c-30. i was just wondering what the diffrences are from a q-jet? obviously the secondary venturies are smaller, but is there any. . .performance advantage or disadvantage? would i be better putting in a q-jet? what are the average cfm on the 4jet for small blocks? (still not really sure what motor it is; 283 or 327) ive worked a lot on the q-jets, but this is the first 4 jet i have ever even seen. would it be more worth it to rebuild this 4 jet, or go to the bone yard and grab a q jet to rebuild? and is it any diffrent switching the choke to an electric choke? i think the 4 jet was a hot air choke, but the line that goes into it was cut off when i bought it, and i haven't the slightest where it used to go! and do the elect. chokes off the q-jets fit on the 4 jets? any insight is appreciated!
