I was truly disappointed with Licenseplates.tv.

I have a Commercial 1951 California DMV clear plate. Unfortunately I only had one plate. I sent it out to get it restored by someone other than LP.tv. I used Darrel’s in Pennsylvania they told me that they can restore my plate and make a copy. SWEET! But it was super expensive and took about a year and a half and when I got the plate back the copy was molded out of Plastic! California DMV would have laughed me out of the place, and they did! (Hey I tried) Don’t get me wrong it was a perfect copy and if I knew someone that worked for the California DMV that would register it for me it would be a slam dunk and they would look great on my truck.

Disappointed but not defeated I didn't give up and called Licenseplates.TV and told him I found him doing a Google search and explained to him I had a perfect restored plate and I wanted to order a copy and would it #1 be steel, #2 be passable, and #3 would I be happy with it. All 3 yes, so I prepaid (only way they will do it) and when my father shipped it to me (They won't sent directly to the state you live in, they only ship it to someone out of the state you are getting copied to get around the law I guess) I was so disappointed when I opened the package. It is very light I think it might be aluminum. I never did check with a magnet. The back of the California black plate is California yellow so the DMV will see in an instant they used a California yellow blank, plus the color is off. There is no way that this plate will work either. So about 300 bucks later now both disappointed and defeated I threw all 3 of them in the drawer and bought a set from a collector on EBay. Not the COM set like I wanted that originally came on a pickup it was a car set but DMV didn’t care about that when I registered it. So I now have a registered 1951 California black with 1953 tabs completely registered. That is my 2 cents. It would have been a lot cheaper and less aggravating if I just bought the set from EBay outright in the beginning.

That’s my 2 cents in case anyone was wondering.
