Here is the tag under the passenger side of the hood of my 46 chevy. It is obviously worn out and barely legible. A few things are still readable and the one that jumps out at me in the lower right hand corner is where is says 3100. The truck is definitely a 1 ton, 3800 at least according to number of leaf springs, the fact that it is a dually, the dimension measurements, etc.
Not a big deal, just wondering if anyone has insight to the discrepancy. Also, anyone know a good way to clean the tag up and make it more readable, or is it lost to time?
