It would enable you to start rolling without burning up your clutch. Simply start in 2nd gear and shift the same as a three speed. If your truck is heavier than a half ton I'm not aware of any way to drive over 50 to 55 and keep the original drive train other than have a custom set of gears made which would require much deeper pockets than mine.
