1946 1-ton that I purchased on 05.08.10 and drove a little over 100 miles home. I am the third (probably 4th) owner. In addition to the history of the truck, the owner gave me the original owner's manual, service policy and a framed ad for the style of truck. He even found and gave me the original crank to turn the engine over. My goal is to keep this truck running until at least 2046.
It is extremely original. It was restored around 25 years ago and of course, parked in a barn. It was taken out last April, cleaned up, overhauled and I bought it yesterday (5.8.10). I intend to keep it as original as possible, but my primary goal is to keep the truck running reliably and well.
I contacted the local car club yesterday as well and am looking forward to learning all about this truck and tinkering on it.
