Denny, I was told about this High-Torque 6 volt starter and Don Allen by a guy you works on vintage vehicles here in Southern California. No, I am not experiencing the effects of a previous weak starter. It cranks more like a 12 volt than a 6 volt. I have had three different starters in my 216 rebuilt by different people and they all cranked the same, one was suppose to have been high-torque but didn't hack it. All were good enough to start the engine, but 6 volt weak.

I don't know what Don Allen did to the starter but he did it right and I LIKE IT!

Beings Don Allen has been in the generator, alternator and starter field for over 40 years, I consider him the expert, not you.

Believe what you want, but I have a 6 volt High-Torque starter!!
