I" wider is only 1/2" per side, so I doubt it.I used a 76 olds 442 differential without a problem.I think the only problems may arise with what the offset on your rims may be.I'm glad I switched to an open drive line, I also used a 57 Chev passenger car driveshaft as well as a 77 El Camino V8 and a 73 El Camino Transmition .I didn't do too much fabricating too make everything slide into place.
