I recently put a rebuilt in my truck that I bought from a reputable shop in town. After I installed it, the truck hesitates when the gas pedal is first pushed.
It also feels like its being held back when accelerating. The bowl gasket is a little moist on the outside with gas.
I followed the directions enclosed by flushing out the fuel line and replacing the fuel filter. The directions said the carb was ready to install.
Is it a rule of thumb to check the float settings when you buy a rebuilt carburetor? Sorry if this is a dumb question. I don’t think my timing or any other settings are off.
