Trivia: it looks like GM/Chevrolet called the "hand-brake" an "emergency brake" prior to Advance-Design trucks. (

In most of the Advance-Design years, the Shop Manuals use the term "parking brake" (it was a hand-brake in 1947 but I do not know what it was called by GM).
