New to the sight. I just aquired a big bolt. the title says 1946, but when i looked everything up on it it said it was built in flint in sept of 1945. It has the orig 235 loadmaster, 4 speed. Later sometime the previous owner(i am the 2nd owner) added the dump to his stake bed. The stake still has the orig wood and the back gate still has the potatoe gate and funnel. This truck was used on a farm in KS for its entire life. The owner told me when I took it home that was the first time he can remember it leaving the county. I have been useing it here on my ranch everyday. it runs great(after some tlc from me and my dad the mechanic)All of the instruments work perfect. i am slowly working on the small stuff while I use it on the ranch this summer. Come winter I am putting it in the paint shop and getting it as close to orig as possiable, Alot of the parts on the truck are stamped by Lockhead Wagner (Gov contractor for the War. After alot of research i do believe i have a 45. There is no chrome. The orig colors seemed to be swift red, black fenders and running boards, and the grill and bumper was called turret gray. i would love to post some pics but can't figurue out how.
