I had considered what you suggest, but I don't have a bridgeport. I do have a small lathe, but need a lot of learning. No matter, you all won't have to dodge old chev pickups. I ordered fronts from Napa for about $40.46 each delivered, and rears from Advance Auto for about $56.09 each delivered. It's a lot of cash, but I checked three places in Medford, Oregon, and none re-line. All ship out. One place implied that cost of labor and liability is the reason...and that is what's wrong with the entire economy.
I still have not decided what to do with the master cylinder. As it is much more spendy than the others, I may do as you suggest, and hone to the next size, and install larger cups. It's 1 1/4" from the git-go, though, so finding the right cups might be a chore.
