Took my newfound torrus cover down to trans shop and they rejected it for worn seal surface on the snout. Said front seal would be short lived. Also pointed out a sealing ring that looks like a snap ring inside the smae area that had worn groove in cover he said shouldn't be there. Pickups use a smaller 18 bolt version of the torrus cover. Considering the age and availabilty of parts for this trans, what are my options. Is there a sleeve such as is available for crankshaft dampers? Is there a parts source I am missing? This project has already killed budget for this year.Ideas? Thoughts? Comments? Thanks G.H. | | |
