I do appreciate all the responses. It seems that black or not is OK. I did establish that the factory color on the cab was the dark blue. I think it's the Export Blue...but I don't like it. Things will be different, and probably not original. We have dusty roads, and the darker colors show the dust. I'm leaning towards a buckskin or beige with some sort of burgandy highlights. I still haven't decided on the fenders.
I'm still at the stage of a pile of pieces with the freshly painted frame in the rain until I have the front and rear finished. That's about 70 percent, now.
