I have a couple of these tanks, I come across them at auctions now and then, and have always wondered what they originated on. I had read somewhere that they were air tanks used on aircraft in the 40's or 50's. Anyone know? They appear to be aluminum, wonder how well they would work as fuel tanks?. Air Tank
