These former firetrucks make a great truck-chassis to convert over to other uses. My '57 is a former 500 gal fire pumper-tanker truck with only 4300 miles when I bought it and now has only 6200 miles today. I put a 12 foot dump on it and use it for occasional work.
Again I admire your truck, hope to see more pics of it in the near future!
