Yep, you can glue, screw, rivet all those things or you can do it the way they were done at the factory originally, i.e. staple. The staples that the vendors sell probably won’t be the correct spacing, at least the ones that I bought weren’t. Transferring the staple holes one at a time isn’t all that much of a challenge. The hardest part is holding the staple tight while you bend the backside over.

Also, unless you want to make up a bender like the one pictured then I would definitely buy the pre-bent cats whiskers they are well worth the little bit extra. Twenty-nine bucks also includes the outer rubber wipers. If you’ve tried bending the cats whisker then you know what we’re talking about.
