For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Apr 2010 Posts: 8 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Apr 2010 Posts: 8 | Hello there, I am newly registered here (from South Africa). I aquired a '46 2 ton (RHD) a week ago - 100% original, except it is converted to 12V and got a non standard load bed - I will need to find the specs for the original. Everything works, I mean everything - hand brake, front windscreen winder the whole lot. Body is in great condition, except for a sligtly bent right mudgaurd. The engine runs like clockwork (216.5 CI). Only problem is that it is 1200 km from my home (720 miles in American speak). I am planning to bring her home on a trailer behind my Isuzu bakkie (sorry LDV in American or Ute for you down under) next weekend.
Cant wait for it naturally - will keep you posted and get some photos on the board in due course.
Cheers from South Africa. Buks.
PS: Any Aussies or people from the land of the long white cloud reading this - I am a Stormers supporter. I quite enjoyed the Blues' thrashing today! | | |
