Either should do, just as Tim says. The procedure is pretty much the same all the way up to the current trucks. You may want to re-check the tie rods, though. If you're still using the priginal style adjustable tie rods, they could be "tight" when doing a static check, but have play in them under load when driving. There are instructions for setting the tie rod and drag link preload in the same section as the steering box.
