Ditto! Tricked-out spark plugs have been around as long as I've been in the automotive trade, 50+ years, and they've caught their fair share of suckers. Two quotes come to mind:

Nothing I've seen beats an original-equipment spark plug the engine was designed to use, preferrably in the brand name the factory chose. On the old stovebolts, original AC plugs aren't available in the heat ranges they once were, so some compromises have to be made. Champion plugs might be a suitable substitute for AC in most situations. I've had bad luck with Prestolite plugs, and Nippondenso. NGK is a good brand for riceburners, but I prefer Champion, AC, and Autolite/Motorcraft for "American-made" vehicles. Now, what should I put in a Crown Vic made in Canada, or a Dodge truck made in Mexico, or what about a Nissan made in Smyrna, Tennessee?
