You can use the truck tail shaft and mainshaft on the car trans, as stated previously the case & internal parts are the same. You should probably replace the rear bearing, rear bushing, and seal while it is apart. The lower mount bolt holes on the car trans are not threaded so you will need some longer 1/2" bolts w/nuts.
You can also use the truck side cover if you are retaining the column shifter.
