I think every one is right about 4-5 months not being bad for gas. It should be noted however, that different regions have different formulas for winter and summer gas. Also, after one long winter (Nov-May), every hibernating gas-implement in my garage failed to start. This is one winter-prep that is cheap and easy, is not harmful, and might even be helpful?
