I bought a '56 that someone had put on a Cutlass frame and gave up on. It didn't fit worth a darn.
Why are you wanting to change the frame? Because someone told you that's what "they" do with these old trucks? A lot of people, myself included use the stock frame and suspension and are happy with it. Unless your frame is damaged why not keep it?
