I attempted to shake the distibutor from side to side and front to back. It was solid. No movement.

Also, I looked at the vacuum advance. I did not see a rivet anywhere. Is it at the back of the distributor?
When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.
