At present I have a Donor 1991 4.3 v6 Astro , TBI system. The v6 engine is now in my 51 pickup.The rest will be installed as I go along. Listed here are the parts from the Donor Astro.
1. Computer
2. TBI body assembly,sensors & controls,gas pedal etc.
3. Ignition & steering column.
4. New wiring harness from Painless Wiring for the above computer & engine.
Everything will be original exept the "Tanks Inc" fuel pump & tank. The rest will stay exactly as it was in the Donor Astro.
From what I have read if the pump pressure is properly set, the pressure regulator and sensors at the trottle body assembly via the computer analyses should deliver the exact fuel required to the injectors to run the engine properly.
Does this sound right? Is this how it should work??
