1. do I use the same crossmember but move it?
You will have to cut out the crossmember for the stick & use an automatic crossmember(I have one for sale 
) 2.will I need a new bellhousing?
The automatic has the bell housing built on. 3.will I need a different driveshaft?
Most likely unless you happen to get the tansmission and drive shaft from a truck of the same lenght. 4. any suggestions as to type of tranny?
You could run a 350 turbo, 400 turbo, 700R4 or later model overdrive transmission
