This new guy needs some help please.

Yesterday I tried to mount my transmission into my '54 Chevy 3100 and as I was doing it the Pilot bushing fell out of the crank. It is now sitting loosely between the clutch plat and pressure plate, which is mounted onto the truck.

Any advise on how I get the bushing back into the engine without having to pull the engine or disassemble the clutch? I really want to avoid all that. is it best to line it up and somehow tap it back in or should I remove the pressure plate to get at it.

Thanks in advance for any ideas...hopefully this has happened to someone before and I am not alone on this one.
