I've got a "66 GMC Fleetside longbed. It had a six but now a 350. Still has the granny gear 4 speed. I'm converting this to a 350 turbo, keeping the Dana 44 rear end. From my measurments, the turbo is a couple of inches longer to the tail. My question is: Can I go to a 1 piece driveshaft? The length from U-joint to u-joint is only about 64". Does anyone know if there is a shaft that will fit right in? The truck is going to be a cruiser with an occasional burnout or two so I don't need anything heavy enough for racing. Or, should I just stick with the original 2 piece? I think I'll still need a shorter front shaft anyways. As always, your advice is greatly appreciated.
