If you have no lights at all.It could be the headlight switch. There is a rheostat on the switch to brighten or dim the lights. You just turn the knob to do it. Also check the fuse.
There are several bulbs in the panel for dash lights, and you should be able to get to them from the back side without taking the panel out. If you have no lights at all, you may have a ground issue instead.
