On the 63-5 manual trans trucks the e-brake works off the x-member for the manual tranny which is lost when adding an automatic. So you 3/4 ton fellas got trouble on both ends. The 67-72 setup is independent of crossmembers. Most Eatons I have seen have spots where you could drill the backing plates & add a cable or you could rob the plates off a later Eaton,, the 67-72 auto trucks are good for updates. brian
