Drain Cock?? Way too far back, would be pulling back not down.
Some have a small tin tab on oil pan, others I've had a small hole in actual block edge for oil pan. Suppose hooking over oil pan tin edge may work, I wouldn't feel "safe" that way. W/out the spring the throttle WILL flop wide open, BTDT!
