It is suppost to be a 57 truck engine , but on my data plate on my 57 3200 it list 265 V8 and not a 283? , Some where I read that it is suppost to have the "L" =Standard shift, "LA"= hydromatic, "LB"= heavy duty clutch? the engine I have turned out to be a 58 283 ,with the casting for side motor mounts as found in the passenger car.
