Their are a few things you should check on sleeling beauty. You probly have a bad tank of gas behind the seat and a good possibilty of stuck valves. Before you turn the motor over you might remove the spark plugs and valve cover and check for valve movement while turning it over by hand. Also you should clean and check the point gap while your head is under the hood.
