When I can't buy something like that local I next check online general parts suppliers like RockAuto.com and if that doesn't work I try the old truck specific catalogs (usually online) like LMCTruck.com.

My current project is replacing the spring bushings at the rear of my 1-ton GMC. None of the old truck places list them and I didn't like the price at Rock Auto, so I searched online for bushings and found them for a third of the price at a place that just makes bushings.
