#61606 06/10/2006 6:53 PM | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 14 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: May 2006 Posts: 14 | I've taken off the transmission cover to my '47 Chevy 3 speed to put on a new gasket and I am having trouble getting the linkage lined up again. My book says "With transmission gears in neutral and shifter forks in neutral position..."
The transmission was in neutral when I took the cover off but it doesn't appear to be anymore.
Can anyone tell me how to put the transmission in neutral and the shifter forks in the neutral position.
